Students have different strengths and weakness. Jeddah International School provides specific assistance through the learning support service. This service provides learning and study skills resources for all students who have been identified to enhance their academic experience in preparing to meet their educational goals.

Identification and placement of these learners is based on the review of the academic records and students performance on the placement tests. All students identified and recommended receive assistance in the following areas:

• English
  

¨ Phonics

¨ Comprehension

¨ Writing

¨ Spelling

¨ Vocabulary

• Arabic

Instruction is administered during the regular school session for English and after school for Arabic. These services are provided by trained specialists in these subjects.

Once the student has been identified as having a need, the parents are contacted and informed of terms and conditions.
